Third variation on The Eagle by Alfred Lord Tennyson

He holds the scope with divine hands;

Beneath the stars in empty lands,

Ring'd by the vast cosmos he stands.

The jeweled sky above him gleams;

He watches from his lofty beams,

And like a shooting star time dreams.

Another variation on The Eagle by Alfred Lord Tennyson

He holds the rag with greasy hands;

Close to the moon in arid lands,

Cloaked by the dirty world, he stands.

The sandy desert outside him calls;

He watches from his castle walls,

Starved for spaghetti and meat balls.

Variation on The Eagle by Alfred Lord Tennyson

He hooks the fish with steady hands;

Nigh to the river in sage lands,

Fenced in by the dark world, he stands.

The rippled river below him flows;

He stares into clear water that glows,

And like a hurricane he blows.
