(POST PLANARIAN POSTSCRIPT)

I once "lived with" a planarian.

I should have given him (or her) a name, but never thought of it.

Why, you might ask, did I live with a planarian?

It was part of my Biology class while at the University of Colorado.

All went well, until I forgot to give the little worm his (or her) water one day.

My planarian kicked the bucket.

He (or she) just dried up!

I tried giving him (or her) mouth-to-mouth (or tail?) resuscitation, but alas, it did not work.

There was nothing left for me to do, except to give my wormy roommate a respectful burial.

I carved a casket out of a piece of cork.

It even had a top!

Then I placed Roy---I've decided to give him (or her) a name after all...post mortem.)

I brought Roy---laid to rest in his (or her) tiny casket---to my Biology Lab teacher, and he had a good laugh.

I received an A for the course, to boot!
